Thereโs an octopus in my bed,
Attacking me around the head,
It wakes me up at 3am,
My five year oldโs crept in again.
At 4am he pulls my hair,
Now wide awake I lie and stare,
At the clock, tick tock, tick tock,
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock…
Still awake at half past four,
The cat is scratching at the door.
Today is work, I need my sleep,
Into his empty bunk I creep.
Now with Octopus and cat,
I leave husband to deal with that,
At six he wakes me with a tea,
Our boy sleeps on diagonally.
